An exciting announcement...

We have some important and exciting news to share with you!

As you know, we are a small organisation. But, despite our size, our work has a big impact on the communities we work with, and we are proud of the relationships and partnerships we have built over the years.

Recently, however, the funding climate has been changing. It has become harder for smaller charities like us to secure the funding we need to make sure our work can continue sustainably. As Dan, our CEO of 21 years, was approaching retirement towards the end of last year, he wanted to do something to secure the long term future of Find Your Feet’s work. We have therefore decided to join together with a charity called Health Poverty Action to ensure our work and the relationships we have built with communities over the years, will remain as strong as ever in the future.

We have chosen to work with Health Poverty Action because of our shared values, and the complementary nature of our work.

They work with communities in 15 different countries to improve health. They do not see health as simply a medical issue, but instead work to tackle all of the social factors that impact on health, including education, sanitation, nutrition and livelihoods.

We will initially keep the Find Your Feet brand, and we will continue our work as a part of Health Poverty Action. This means we will become more efficient by sharing internal costs, resources and a management structures, meaning you are getting the best value out of every generous donation you make.

How does this impact you as one of our key supporters?

Well it’s actually really simple - you will still be able to support our work in all the same ways you used to. In fact, the main difference you will notice is the scope of the work we do will grow! Our shared expertise will greatly benefit the communities we work with, by providing more holistic projects combining health and livelihoods work. All of this will hugely benefit the communities we work with, and allow the work of Find Your Feet and Health Poverty Action to grow and reach more countries, communities and people.

We are excited to be working with Health Poverty Action, and look forward to introducing you to the new work we will be doing together as we go forwards.
