Virgin London Marathon

Join our 2013 team!

We are now recruiting runners for the 2013 London Marathon. Join us and you will get the chance to take part in one of the world's greatest marathons while helping us to run poverty into the ground!

Clem_Rob_Matt_Rich_-_web_page The Virgin London Marathon official ballot closed in April 2012 and they notify applicants of the ballot outcome in early October 2012.

If you are successful in securing your own place, then let us know as we'd be delighted for you to join our team! There will be no fundraising target but every penny you raise will have a long-lasting impact to the families we work with.

If you are interested in applying for a charity place or were not successful in securing your own place then get in touch!

Why run for Find Your Feet?

You could have the chance to take part in one of the most exciting sporting events while also knowing that every step you take will help families in the poorest rural communities to lift themselves out of hunger and poverty.

We ask each runner to commit to raising a minimum of £1,500 (excluding gift aid) and in return you will recieve:

Find Your Feet team 2012

Runner Daisy Find Your Feet had a fantastic team running in the Virgin London Marathon 2012. The rain held off, the crowds cheered and our all our team finished in a state of exhilaration and exhaustion!

So far our team of 6 runners have raised an amazing £10,000 to support rural families in India, Malawi, Nepal and Zimbabwe to lift themselves out of poverty.

Your Support Could....

£10 could enable a Malawian community to plant 38 trees, helping them to reduce soil erosion and restore nutrients to the soil.

£25 could train a traditional birth attendant in India to give better care to pregnant women and ensure that babies are delivered safely.

£150 could train a member of a Malawian community to act as a lead farmer in their community, enabling them to teach 20 fellow farmers sustainable farming techniques that will improve their harvests.

£500 could provide training, tools and support for 10 people in India to set up small businesses using indigenous skills such as bamboo work. This will enable them to earn a sustainable income for themselves and their families.

£1000 could provide long-term training and support to 150 Indian women, empowering them to transform their communities by accessing basic government services such as clean water, education and healthcare.
