We believe we can make a difference

Campaigning against PovertyWe don't think that poverty is inevitable. We work at a local, national and international level to challenge the policies that prevent people from building their way out of poverty; they face.

  • We support communities to tackle the root causes of their poverty. Read about how we are supporting people to challenge the marginalisation they face.

  • We support national goverments to respond more effectively to the needs of the poor. In Malawi for example we work closely with the Malawian Ministry of Agriculture to offer a more effective and appropriate support service to farmers.

  • We engage with debates on issues that matter to us through social media (see our blog  and our Facebook page) We also respond to online and print media articles.

  • We campaign in the UK for policies to end poverty.

With a large number of new MPs likely to be elected in the 2010 election, it is crucial that we show them that global poverty is an election issue.

Why don't you campaign with us? Visit the Vote Global website (www.voteglobal.org.uk) to find actions you can take, questions to ask your candidates, a map of local hustings events and lots more information about how you can make this election count for the world’s poor.
